MGH4 is the great great great grand-daughter of the original Kuala Lumpur H3 [1938] through:

Jakarta H3 [1962],

Medan H3 [1973],

Atlanta H4 [1982],

 and Southern Comfort H3 [1994]. 

    Around the end of 2000, several of the well knowns from the middle Ga area were dissatisfied with the Perry H3. This mainly because the then GM, Vegimatic, (after several years of faithfully keeping the hash going with a trail every month or two) had been unable to devote the time needed to keep things going. It had been close to six months and PH3 had had no trail... These dissatisfied hashers managed to convince Tinkerbell that he should take over PH3. Now Tink, being properly disposed to the idea of being a dick-tator and founder of a hash, agreed to rename and relocate the PH3 and try to breath some new life into the dieing club. Tink joined forces with Veg for a final PH3 trail, with plans to announce that a new hash club, MGH4, would arise from the ashes of PH3. Various plans were made, emails sent, web sites built, lots of beer drank etc etc etc.... Then all hell cut loose.

    Tumbleweed, one of the original hashers of PH3 caught wind of the fact that the PH3 was about to be put out to pasture. Weed decided that she would have none of that. After various emails went flaming across the net, and words were exchanged here & there it was decided that Tumbleweed would take over the GM-ship of PH3, and Tinkerbell would just start a brand new hash, unrelated to Perry. Thus was it done.

    So on Sunday, April 8th, 2001 Tinkerbell laid the inaugural MGH4 trail. With an outstanding turn out, wonderful shiggy, and a cold beer/hot wings laden end a grand time was had by all. 

Interesting moments of the MGH4's past

Memorial Day, 2001 -  The newly created MGH4 Banner was stolen while on display at Hedon 15. Much grief was placed upon Tinkerbell and Bug up my Ass on our 8th run to recover the Banner.

July, 7th 2001 -     Sir Squirts-A-Lot forces the GM to create the official MGH4 Hash Shit for setting trail #7 - an 8 miler in the middle of July at 3pm. Only one planned water stop. No water features to speak of on trail, lots of road, the hare admitted to never running the entire trail before, he car-hared a good portion of the trail, and he ran out of flour. The boy had better be glad that he had smoked an entire pig for the hounds enjoyment or else he might have ended up hanging from a tree by his private parts!!!

Feb, 23rd 2002 -    MGH4's 25th trail was a ball buster (go read the hash trash) and also marked the unveiling of the MGH4 vest of honor - a hashers reward for completing their 25th trail with the club. A beautiful black vest with the hasher's name embroidered upon the breast in MGH4 blue. And the penalty of the 25 ounce down down. :) Whoa Wilbur and Cheaper than Trick both received this honorable award on this date.

April, 6th 2002 -     MGH4 celebrates it's first birthday!! Again another fantastic landmark in the MGH4 history. Go read the hash trash for details!!

May, 31st 2003 -     MGH4 GM/Founder passes on the GM mantle to Thumper Box!!
